GROW WITH ME

Da Garden is a space I created to assist Black people in tending to our insides. Each of us is both a temple and a garden and within that, we need to give ourselves regular maintenance to sustain what we have and grow into what we’re meant to be.Ā For as long as I can remember I have been teaching and learning. I would sit at the feet of Elders (both in age and knowledge) to learn more about Black people and the world we live in. Listening to the things they taught allowed me to take the information and decide if it resonated with me. And if it did, what would I do to know myself more and grow myself deeper?Ā

That is the root of my work. Removing all the clutter that gets in the way of Black people accessing all parts of ourselves.Ā

I am an Africana Spiritualist, Two-Headed Doctor, Community Organizer, Writer, Author and and. Like the Black Women before me, I am a multitude of things. I live, love, and give from multiple intersections. My work centers on Black Women and Black Girls because when Black Women and Black Girls are finally free, everyone will be free. Word To Combahee River Collective. This is a space where all Black people are welcome, but it is with the understanding that deep unpacking will have to take place for all of us to cohabitate in harmony.Ā

Ā

Within This Garden, I Will Be Sharing The Following:

Ā

Tools To Re-Indigenize Your Life:Ā In order to be free every Black person mustĀ decolonize their mind and build a new framework for life rooted in their Afrocentric divinity. This process, in its totality, is called re-indigenization. In this space, I will teach you how to do it so you can remove the poison that was given to us and build a life rooted in the truth of who you are.Ā

Self-Publishing Tools:Ā I’m a self-published author who believes in doing for self. I’ve been publishing for a long time, and I will share resources, tools, and marketing tips that will help you publish your books your way and get that bag in the process.Ā

Articles, Short Essays, and Reflections From My Blog:Ā I have a blog on Substack called I Be Writing. In that space, I share poetry, prose, articles, essays, and thoughts on Black culture. I also write book reviews, album reviews, self-publishing tips, short stories, and cultural reflections.Ā

Messages, Reminders, and Daily Truths:Ā I am a Two-Headed Doctor and Consort Of Spirits. I Be Knowing, and I Be Seeing. If it’s on my heart to share something I heard, saw, or received, I will share it with you here.Ā

Spiritual Tools:Ā Spirituality is the cornerstone of the Revolution. There is no Black Freedom without Black Spirituality. I will share resources, tools, and wisdom to help you on your spiritual journey. Because until you are spirit-led, there is no true freedom.Ā

Revolutionary Book Club:Ā We Be Reading is a revolutionary book club that exclusively explores books written by Black Freedom Fighters. We will read fiction and nonfiction, but the common thread is that these books will be super Black and super revolutionary. We will check in as needed to discuss what we’ve read. You will also have access to the We Be Reading group, which is located on our private online community.Ā

Resources To Help You Reclaim Yourself:Ā As Black people, we’ve been taught a lot of untrue and flat out weird stuff. I will share books, music, guides, and reflections to help you unpack the weird stuff so you can meet yourself, love yourself, and save yourself.Ā

Spiritual Astrology Readings:Ā I offer email-based astrological readings that meet at the intersection of Astrology and Spirit. Using your birth chart, I will assist you in getting to know yourself deeper so that you can accept who you are and take better care of yourself. You don’t have to be a member to purchase a Spiritual Astrology Reading.Ā Ā
